On March 26, 2025, deputies responded to a nursing home facility after reports of two patients engaged in a physical altercation. Upon arrival, deputies observed one man holding another against the front desk. Verbal commands were issued, but the subject refused to release his hold. Minor visible injuries and small amounts of dried blood were present at the scene. Due to the ongoing risk of injury, a taser was deployed to safely separate the individuals. Both men were detained at the scene. Following the investigation, one of the individuals was charged with Affray and Resisting an Officer Without Violence. He later entered a guilty plea, was adjudicated guilty by the court, sentenced to time served, and ordered to pay court costs. No charges were filed against the second individual.
