First DWI Arrest: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jZ8MYhrvZqE Around 10:38 PM on March 30, 2026, Patrolman David Bowen with the Plainsboro Police Department observed a white 2018 Nissan Altima that was swerving in the center lane on Route 1 southbound. He activated his emergency lights to a traffic stop, and the driver pulled over on Route 1 southbound in the area of Scudders Mill Road. He exited his patrol car and made contact with the driver, who was later identified as Erin Guezze. As he was speaking with Erin, Patrolman Bowen detected the odor of alcohol and observed other indicators of impairment. She later told him that she heading home from her job at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in Princeton, and admitted to having 1 mixed drink before leaving work. Based on his suspicions of impairment, Erin was asked to exit the vehicle and perform field sobriety exercises after Sergeant Kanaley and Patrolman Titen arrived on scene to assist. Patrolman Bowen started with the Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus (HGN) test. During the HGN test, Patrolman Bowen observed 4/6 indicators of impairment. The second exercise was the Walk and Turn test. During the Walk and Turn test, Erin failed to touch heel-to-toe on each step and turned improperly. The final exercise was the One Leg Stand test. During the One Leg Stand test, Erin failed to raise her foot in the proper fashion and put her foot down before the test was complete. Based on her erratic driving, her indicators of impairment, the odor of alcohol, her admission to consuming alcohol earlier that evening, and her inability to satisfactorily complete the field sobriety exercises, Erin was placed under arrest for driving under the influence. Her vehicle was impounded for a mandatory 12-hour hold under John’s Law. Erin was transported by Patrolman Bowen to the Plainsboro Township Police Department for further processing. At the Plainsboro Township Police Department, Erin was read the Standard Statement for Motor Vehicle Operators, and she agreed to submit breath samples. Her Alcotest results indicated a BAC level of 0.095%, which was above the legal limit of 0.08%. After they finished processing her, Erin was eventually released to her father Anthony Guezze pending her court appearance after he signed the Potential Liability Warning form on Erin’s behalf. Patrolman Bowen issued Erin the following traffic citations: -Operating under the influence (39:4-50) -Reckless driving (39:4-96) -Careless driving (39:4-97) -Unsafe operation of a motor vehicle (39:4-97.2) -Traffic on marked lanes (39:4-88) -Traffic on marked lanes – center lane violation (39:4-88C) -Failure to keep right (39:4-82) -Obstruction of windshield for vision (39:3-74) -Obstructing passage of other vehicles (39:4-67) As of July 16, 2026, this particular case is still pending before the Plainsboro Township Municipal Court. Erin has previously been arrested on charges of simple assault (2C:12-1A(1)) and criminal mischief (2C:17-3A(1)) in West Windsor, New Jersey on December 9, 2024. Prior to that arrest, Erin had been arrested yet again for her first DWI in Spotswood, New Jersey on October 23, 2023. ---------------------------------------------- Please LIKE, SUBSCRIBE, and consider supporting this channel (email us for more information). (P.L. 2024, c.16). Defendants are considered innocent until proven guilty. The New Jersey Supreme Court has previously affirmed in Salzano v. North Jersey Media Group, 993 A.2d 778 (2010) that “The fair-report privilege reflects the judgment that the need, in a self-governing society, for free-flowing information about matters of public interest outweighs concerns over the uncompensated injury to a person's reputation.” This video advances a compelling public interest. The summary of events was based on records that are “open to public view through open access to public records” as defined in the Salzano case. In Ramos v. Flowers, 429 N.J. Super. 13, the Appellate Division of the Superior Court has also affirmed the right to film law enforcement interactions.
