He walked up to check it. Burnt cannabis smell hit him right away. Two women sat inside. The driver was 19-year-old Tara. She owned up to smoking in the car. Sergeant Robert Walker soon showed up to help. They asked Tara to say part of the alphabet and count backward. She botched the alphabet at first. Officer Santini called someone. They decided on field sobriety tests. Tara showed signs of being impaired. First came the Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus test. Next was Walk and Turn. Tara missed heel-to-toe touches. She took wrong steps. Her turn was off. Last, One Leg Stand. She didn't lift her foot right. She swung her arms for balance. The cannabis smell, her admission, and failed tests led Officer Santini to arrest Tara for DUI. He impounded her car for 12 hours under John's Law. He took her to the station. There, they read her the standard statement for drivers. She agreed to a breath test. Alcotest showed 0.00% BAC. No alcohol issue. But she had admitted to smoking. Officers drove her to Cape Regional Medical Center for blood work. Tests found Amphetamine, Alprazolam, THC, and THC-COOH. They released her for court. Officer Santini gave her two tickets: operating under the influence (39:4-50), and parking within 25 feet of a sea wall (Ordinance 520-11B). Court records show July 1, 2024. DUI dropped to reckless driving (39:4-96). Guilty. License gone for 45 days. $240 in fines. Parking ticket dismissed. Tara had a prior arrest in Cape May, New Jersey, on October 12, 2023, for receiving stolen property (2C:20-7A). 9:05 "I am stoned but I was going to wait" 7:14 "girl, you done fcked up".... 25:15 are those heart-shaped exhaust tips?
